6 Facts For The Current Age

Intellect and knowledge are not necessarily the same thing these days. Some scientists are now saying that biology should be disregarded when it comes to determining gender in favor of subjective “feelings.” For example, acclaimed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson recently argued that despite long held scientific fact, your “XX/XY chromosomes are insufficient” in determining a person’s gender. He elaborates further, “because when we wake up in the morning, we exaggerate whatever feature we want to portray the gender of our choice, the one you're assigned, the one you choose to be, whatever it is…Suppose, no matter my chromosomes, today I feel 80% female, 20% male — I'm gonna put on makeup," he said. "Tomorrow, I might feel 80% male. I'll remove the makeup, and I'll wear a muscle shirt. And of course the self “identified” intellectual elites are also rewriting the dictionary to reflect what is now referred to as “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” policies like the ones promoted through Harvard University’s Office for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging” which state, “As part of Harvard’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment that welcomes the diversity of individuals and fosters belonging and equity, the University invites you to self-select your gender identity and add pronouns.”

These are just two examples of “intellect” gone stupid! There are so many more in everything from history, to psychiatry, medicine, sociology, and every supposed “intellectual” discipline in between. They are a reminder of what Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:7-8, “always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith.”

God spoke to Daniel and told him that at the end of the age, knowledge will increase… “But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”(Daniel 12:4) And I would add, so will cultural insanity! The Bible also says that in the last days God will also send them strong delusions… Paul writes, “Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:11–12) Do you ever remember a time when there was more knowledge and more intellectual and cultural delusion than today? Given this to be so, what do God’s people need to know? Let me suggest the following six facts to guide you in the current age:

Shallow belief/theology will not carry us through…
You need a deep and fortified faith to successfully navigate the age you are living in and the days to come. Have you noticed that logic no longer works because everything is judged emotionally?

Everyone is going to die and stand before God…
This is a sobering reminder that accountability awaits us all.

This life is not all there is, nor is it the best that we can experience…
So keep your focus on and live for the coming Kingdom.

This life is short no matter how long you live!
That is why we must set our life in the context of eternity.

God is trying to get our attention…
The scripture says that “Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.” (Hebrews 2:1) God wants you to walk in the light, not live in the shadows.

God wants us to know His will and then do it…
A righteous fear of God is valuable to keep us centered on the things that count forever.
