In his autobiography, noted economist John Galbraith tells a story about his housekeeper, Emily. On one afternoon in particular, Galbraith had had a weary day and wanted to take an afternoon nap, so he instructed his housekeeper to hold all incoming calls until he had gotten some rest. Due to his economic expertise, it was not out of the ordinary for Galbraith to receive consultation calls from prominent politicians and other government officials.
